AC Milan will no longer collaborate with Russian sponsor FonBet following the example of European clubs.

Italy, Europe and more generally the whole world are trying to put Russia with its on the wall. The goal is to force the powerful state to end military attacks in Ukraine and withdraw troops. The war in the eastern country is costing the lives of thousands of civilians, including women and children, undeserving of any punishment.

Banks, enterprises, companies are terminating any kind of commercial and economic agreement with the state ruled by Vladimir Putin. Joint actions that can lead Russia to total social and financial collapse. Even football clubs, in their own small way, have implemented blocks on commercial communications with Russia. Especially in terms of sponsorships.

Gazprom is the primary example. The Russian multinational that had lent its brand to UEFA and professional teams (Schalke 04) as a top-level sponsor. But not only. AC Milan have also terminated their sponsorship agreement with the only Russian sponsor on their list.

AC Milan will end their partnership with FonBet, the number one online betting company in Russia. The Rossoneri, shortly after the invasion of Ukraine from Putin, suspended the partnership agreement with the Russian sponsor. Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain have done the same cutting their ties with FonBet.

AC Milan are one of the most active European clubs on the front of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. There are many initiatives carried out by the club to provide support and basic necessities to people exhausted by war. The move to suspend the partnership with the Russian sponsor is certainly not surprising.
