Torino are having a very positive season so far and that’s partially thanks to some great performances from Tommaso Pobega.
In the last round of Serie A Torino secured another positive result defeating Hellas Verona 1-0. Scoring Torino’s only goal and grabbing the three points for Ivan Juric’s side was AC Milan loanee Tommaso Pobega.
And it is not the first goal for Pobega who has scored even more than Belotti this season. The 22-year-old central midfielder has scored 4 goals and assisted one in 15 appearances so far. The Italian talent has become a key player for coach Juric after impressing last season on loan with Spezia.
The great season of Pobega is not going unnoticed with a number of clubs who are keeping tabs on his situation. The Rossoneri are more than pleased with what their player is doing under Juric. The Croatian coach lobbied strongly and managed to convince Granata president Urbano Cairo to sign Tommaso on dry loan.
Pobega has convinced everyone that he’s a player with great potential. Now Torino are looking to make his transfer permanent. Juric is captivated by the 22-year-old and is pushing his club to purchase the AC Milan midfielder permanently. MilanLive.it reports that the Rossoneri expect a very important bid for Pobega to arrive soon.
While the fans hope to see Pobega wear the Red and Black shirt next season the management is open to other solutions. Coach Stefano Pioli doesn’t believe that Tommaso is suitable to play in a two-man midfield like the one he uses in his 4-2-3-1 formation. It’s yet early to make a final decision but Pioli’s stance could end up having a big influence on Pobega’s future. A fee of over 20 million would be tempting for the management.
