AC Milan in contacts with Raiola for young bomber

AC Milan have revived their interest in PSV starlet Donyell Malen who has already scored 11 goals in 14 appearances this season.

Dutch football exudes talent and quality from every pore, particularly from the youth sectors of the best football clubs in the country. The man of the moment in Eredivisie is a 20-year-old striker that has attracted the attention of many European clubs. PSV Eindhoven center-forward Donyell Malen has already scored 7 goals in the first 6 league games.

A product of Ajax’s youth ranks, Malen had an unsuccessful two-year spell at Arsenal before returning to Netherlands in a €600 thousand move to PSV. After scoring 11 goals in his first year as a regular starter the Dutch talent is cementing his status as one of the most promising players in Europe this season.

Malen is not a new name for AC Milan. According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri were in contacts with the Netherlands international during spring when his agent Mino Raiola offered him to Leonardo. Even at that time it was clear that the future was bright for PSV’s youngster.

It is in fact a club policy, an instruction from Elliott Management, to follow the best talent on an international level and the Rossoneri have been following Malen ever since. Nothing happened during the summer transfer window but AC Milan remain attentive. According to reports, the new management has recently had talks again with agent Mino Raiola.

It will not be easy for Milan to do business this time considering the excellent performances and the 11 goals scored so far in Eredivisie and European competitions. Several European clubs are interested in Donyell Malen’s services. The 20-year-old becomes a free agent next summer and in January he will be available to sign a contract with a new club.
