AC Milan are battling Lazio for the services of Manchester City star David Silva. The Spanish midfielder is now a free agent.
After 10 years in England and a splendid career at Manchester City, David Silva has decided to leave the Premier League giants and is in search of a new adventure.
Serie A is one of the many options that the Spanish star is considering. Now that his contract with Manchester City has expired Silva can join a new club for free.
Lazio were the first Italian club to come forward for David Silva. Lazio, who will play in Champions League next season, have already made a proposal to the former Valencia offering him a two-year contract of 4 million euros per season. AC Milan are the second Italian club interested in David Silva.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri have contacted the Spanish midfielder. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have inquired to understand the demands of the 34-year-old and his plans for the future.
The Manchester City star has yet to make a final decision. He is currently evaluating offers and despite many rich proposals from the Asia and USA, Silva seems oriented to remain in Europe. Although at 34 years of age, the midfielder had another productive season in England scoring 6 goals and assisting 10 in 27 Premier League appearances.
