AC Milan considering last-minute signing to replace Florenzi

AC Milan are considering a last-minute signing to replace Alessandro Florenzi. The Italian defender was injured against Sassuolo.

AC Milan right back Alessandro Florenzi suffered an injury on his left thigh in the last Serie A match against Sassuolo. The Italian played for the entire 90 minutes but post-match controls confirmed a muscular problem. The Rossoneri are waiting to understand the full extent of Florenzi’s injury. At the same time the management is keeping an eye on the market.

Having completed the signing of Aster Vranckx from Wolfsburg, AC Milan are one last-minute addition to replace Florenzi. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that AC Milan have four names on their list of targets.

Hans Hateboer is the “Italian option”. The Netherlands international has vast experience in Serie A and Atalanta are reportedly open to let him leave on loan. AC Milan have already contacted Atalanta to understand if a deal is possible according to Di Marzio but there are other options in any case.

The one to fit most AC Milan’s transfer policy if Sergino Dest. The Dutch is totally out of Xavi’s project has been told to find a new club before the mercato is over. Dest did really well while at Ajax but failed to repeat himself at Barcelona. He is available either on loan or on a permanent deal and AC Milan are evaluating the situation.

The most interesting name is that of Hector Bellerin. The Spanish right back is trying to terminate his contract with Arsenal in order to join a new club on a free transfer. Bellerin for now. Bellerin spent the last season on loan at Real Betis and the Spanish club have not given up hope on having him back.

AC Milan are also interested in Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola. The Spaniard spent the last season on loan at Fiorentina but the move was not made permanent and Odriozola is back under Ancelotti’s orders. His high salary is a problem but Real Madrid are open to negotiate a solution.
