AC Milan consider second free agent signing from Liverpool
AC Milan are looking again at Liverpool for new signings after doing business last summer for Divock Origi.
Franck Kessie left AC Milan during the summer to join Barcelona on a free transfer. The Rossoneri decided to replace Kessie with 19-year-old Aster Vranckx. The Belgian midfielder has a lot of potential but his chances have been limited so far. However, AC Milan could add a more experienced player for the box to box role in the future.
According to reports from MilanLive.it, AC Milan are considering the signing of Liverpool dynamic midfielder Naby Ketia. The 27-year-old should be available on a free transfer at the end of the season because renewal talks with the Reds have not been fruitful so far.
Liverpool spent a record fee of €60 million to purchase Naby Ketia in 2018 from Red Bull Leipzig. Keita had established himself as one of the best players in Germany but the Guinea international has failed to live up to expectations in England.
His five-year spell at Liverpool has been plagued by injuries. In fact, Keita has yet to make his Premier League debut this season because of a hamstring injury. When fit, the former Leipzig has featured a lot for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Keita has made a total of 117 appearances with the Reds.
The energetic midfielder is expected to leave England once his contract is over and start a new adventure abroad. Able to distribute the ball with range and accuracy, score goals, and gifted with good dribbling skills, Keita is on the radar of many clubs. He could be the second Liverpool player to join AC Milan on a free transfer after Divock Origi.
