AC Milan complete signing of Real Madrid midfielder
AC Milan have completed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz. The Spanish starlet will join the Rossoneri on loan.
Immediately after extending Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract for one more year, AC Milan have completed the signing of Brahim Diaz. Italian and Spanish media confirm that the Real Madrid starlet will play for the Rossoneri next season and an official announcement is coming soon.
With Lucas Paqueta set to leave this summer, AC Milan have been searching a back-up for Hakan Calhanoglu. Nevertheless, Diaz can also play as winger on both sides.
Marca reports that Paolo Maldini and Sufiel Abdelkader (father and agent of Diaz) were the driving factors behind this deal. Brahim Diaz will join AC Milan on loan but it’s unclear if Milan will have an option to buy.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan can make the transfer of Brahim Diaz permanent at the end of the season but Marca reports that the Spanish midfielder will arrive in Serie A on a dry loan.
Real Madrid spent 17 million euros to buy Diaz from Manchester City last year. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder made 10 appearances with Real Madrid scoring one goal and assisting another.
