AC Milan close deal for Valencia striker: the details
AC Milan are about to close their first signing in attack according to claims from various Italian sources but he will not be the last striker to join the Rossoneri this summer.
Simone Zaza is about to return in Serie A. According to Gazzamercato.it, the entourage of the 27 year old striker has reached an agreement with AC Milan, a four-year contract worth 2.5 million euros per season. Valencia have also approved this transfer, loan with the obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season. La Repubblica reports that the Red and Blacks initially offered Bacca in exchange but Valencia refused.
The parties are expected to announce the deal after the Rossoneri complete the sale of Nikola Kalinic, who is expected to join Atletico Madrid. The name of Zaza has received mixed reception among the Rossoneri fans, divided on the former Juventus and West Ham player. Last season Simone Zaza scored 13 goals for the Spanish giants.
However the arrival of the Italian striker does not excluded the top player purchase that the fans are eagerly awaiting. Rather Zaza is expected to act as an alternative up front for coach Gennaro Gattuso. Before continuing with the signing of another striker the club must first solve what to do with Andre Silva and Carlos Bacca, only in this way Mirabelli can fund a big investment in attack.
