AC Milan to receive big offer from Russia for striker
Nikola Kalinic will play his last game for AC Milan against his former club Fiorentina tomorrow. The Croatian is set to leave the Rossoneri after just one season.
Tomorrow’s final game of Serie A for this season could also be the last of Nikola Kalinic for AC Milan. The 30 year old striker has been a total disappointment throughout the year failing to justify the 25 million euros paid last summer to Fiorentina. The Croatian is widely expected to leave the Rossoneri after just one season.
However, despite his continuous underwhelming performances this season, there are still many clubs interested in his services. A good sign for AC Milan who are ready to cash-in. Three German clubs, including Schalke 04, will face tough competition from Russia for the 30 year old striker. In fact, Lokomotiv Moscow are eager to close a deal for Kalinic and are using his fellow countryman Vedran Corluka (currently playing for the Russians) as negotiator to convince the Croatian striker.
Calciomercato.com reports that Lokomotiv Moscow are expected to present an official offer to the Red and Blacks within ten days. To let Kalinic go, the Rossoneri want to fully recoup the 25 million spent last summer and have informed Kalinic’s agent that this is the price the club will demand. Sources claim that Lokomotiv are indeed prepared to make an offer in that region.
