AC Milan fight Benfica for Bayern Munich flop
AC Milan are willing to make a new attempt for an old target. Renato Sanches is looking for a new team to revive his career and the Rossoneri could be the right club.
According to reports from Portuguese press, namely A Bola, AC Milan are still considering the signing of Bayern Munich flop Renato Sanches. The 20 year old midfielder was one of most wanted players in Europe just one season ago.
The Bayern Munich outcast moved to Swansea last summer but it turned out to be a disastrous year in England. With only 12 appearances throughout the season the English club refused to make his move permanent and now Sanches is again in search of a new team.
The two most interested clubs in him, reports A Bola, are Benfica and AC Milan. The player is represented by Jorge Mendes and the Portuguese agent has prioritized a move at San Siro. It is said that Jorge Mendes will play a key part in the negotiations and he would prefer to team Renato Sanches with another of his assisted Andre Silva.
The German club paid 40 million euros plus bonuses for Renato Sanches in 2016 but the 2016 European Championship winner is not worth more than 20 million euros these days.
