AC Milan have purchased Krzysztof Piatek while Higuain’s loan is cut short as he joins Chelsea. Fortunately the Rossoneri will also benefit from his departure.

AC Milan have just completed the signing of Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa for 35 million euros. Another big investment for the Rossoneri in January after purchasing Lucas Paqueta for exactly the same amount. The Polish striker will take Gonzalo Higuain’s starting spot at San Siro.

The Argentine centre forward leaves Milan after only six months with Chelsea as his next destination. Higuain will join his former coach Maurizio Sarri after Milan agreed to satisfy his request. Higuain was on loan at San Siro with the right to buy so the willingness of the Rossoneri to cut short his loan was decisive in his Chelsea transfer.

The good news is that AC Milan will also benefit from Higuain’s departure. According to La Repubblica, Chelsea will offer Milan a discount in case they decide to make Bakayoko’s stay at San Siro permanent. Something that the Rossoneri certainly will do considering his excellent performances in the last few months.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has transformed himself in one of the best midfielders of Serie A in a short time. AC Milan paid 5 million euros for his loan and have the right to sign the French defensive midfielder on a permanent basis for 35 million euros at the end of the season.
