AC Milan complete Tijjani Reijnders signing: details

AC Milan have completed the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar. The Netherlands midfielder will pen a five-year contract.

In the last few days AC Milan have completed the purchase of Christian Pulisic from Chelsea. The Rossoneri will pay an initial transfer fee of €20 million plus add-ons. The American winger will put pen to paper on a four-year deal at €4 million per season. After Pulisic, AC Milan will shifted their entire focus to close the signing of Tijjani Reijnders.

AC Milan’s midfield will be revamped for next season with Tonali’s exit and Bennacer returning in 2024. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has arrived while the Rossoneri want to add two more midfielders. Reijnders is highly regarded by coach Stefano Pioli and the AZ Alkmaar sporting director has just confirmed the that conclusion of the ageement.

AZ Alkmaar had until now stood firm on their €25 million evaluation for their prized asset. However, AC Milan have closed an agreement at €20 million fixe fee plus €3 million in add-ons. The Italian club has prioritized the signing of Reijnders over Daichi Kamda in order to save the only non-EU available slot for Samuel Chukwueze.

Reijnders had a fantastic season with AZ Alkmaar scoring 7 goals and providing 12 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions. He is renown for his game vision and often aims for the goal.
