AC Milan very close to Angel Correa signing: Extra budget from Elliot

AC Milan are very close to signing Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid. The entire transfer fee will be covered by Elliot’s extra budget.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Regardless of any tactical choice made by Marco Giampaolo, AC Milan will bring Angel Correa at San Siro at any cost. Whether 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 or another formation, nothing changes. The Argentine, considered useful in all the attacking roles, remains the number one transfer target of the Rossoneri.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and the Spanish press, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan have finally reached an agreement. As reported earlier by acmilaninfo.com, the Colchoneros were forced to lower their asking price because they need fresh money to sign Rodrigo from Valencia.

Angel Correa will join AC Milan for a fee of €35 million plus 5 million in bonuses if Correa stays at Milan in the next two years. In addition, Atletico Madrid will receive 30% of any future transfer if Milan sell Correa for over 35 million. With Andre Silva’s future still unclear, Elliot has decided to cover the entire transfer fee with an extra budget.

Despite Giampaolo’s doubts concerning the game system for the next matches, Correa is expected to play as trequartista or second striker. Unless Giampaolo recycles the old 4-3-3 lineup, in that case the Argentine international will play as left winger.

Atletico Madrid purchased Angel Correa in 2014 for €7,5 million. The 24-year-old has played for five seasons in La Liga making 188 appearances in all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 28 assists.
