Atletico Madrid lower demands and accept AC Milan bid for Angel Correa
Atletico Madrid have agreed to sell Angel Correa to AC Milan. The Argentine striker will arrive in Italy in the last days of the summer transfer window.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – No more doubts, even in Spain. As reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the transfer of Angel Correa to AC Milan is just a matter of time. The Argentine striker, for some time now, is the very first name on the Rossoneri’s list of transfer targets.
AC Milan will sign Angel Correa for €40 million, not more. A figure far from the €55 million requested initially by Atletico Madrid but which in the end will be enough to guarantee the player’s services.
Correa is not part of Diego Simeone’s plans for the new season while at Milan, who need speed and above all quality, he could re-find himself from a technical-tactical point of view. It is this the reason why the young striker has repeated several times to the Spanish club that he wants to join only Milan. The Colchoneros have agreed to lower their asking price because they need fresh money to sign Rodrigo from Valencia. In short, all the pieces begin to fit together.
A deal is expected to be closed next week. After the opening match of Serie A this season, Udinese vs Milan, Maldini and Boban will travel to Spain to complete the last details of the transfer. With the arrival of the 24-year-old striker, AC Milan have pulled out of the race for Real Madrid duo, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz.
Meanwhile Correa’s agent, Augustin Jimenez, is back in Milan. The player and Milan have agreed personal terms for quite some time but he will meet the Rossoneri management to conclude the deal. Angel Correa is handpicked by Zvonimir Boban, one of the greatest number 10’s in the history of the club.
