AC Milan have completed their incoming transfer operations but the Red and Blacks are still in time to sell players.
In Italy, the summer transfer window closed on 17 August, one day before the start of Serie A, as happened a few days earlier in the Premier League. In the rest of Europe, however, the market is still open, so Italian clubs still have the opportunity to sell some redundancies.
Such a player would be Alen Halilovic, a bet of Massimiliano Mirabelli, signing him on a free transfer. For several days there has been talk of a possible goodbye. From Spain reports emerged on the interest of Espanyol and Girona, but no concrete offers have arrived yet. Calciomercato.com reports today that the agents of the 22 year old are at work to find new accommodation for their client.
The will of Halilovic is to play and find continuity. At Milan such occasions will be very rare, especially after the arrival of Samu Castillejo, which will be the first substitute of both Suso and Calhanoglu. Earlier Gattuso declared that he saw Halilovic as inside right in midfield but the signing of Bakayoko further closed his space.
Halilovic will remain in Rossonero at least until January if, the two teams involved – Espanyol and Girona – will not guarantee a starting spot for the player. The Croatian has great potential and even though he has underwhelmed so far he’s still just 22 years old. AC Milan awaits offers from now until August 31 and the parties are optimistic about reaching a deal before deadline.
