AC Milan about to lose Camarda on free transfer

AC Milan starlet Francesco Camarda is subject to great interest from European clubs as renewal talks with the Rossoneri hit stalemate.

On November of last year, Francesco Camarda became the youngest player in the history of Italian football making his Serie A debut at 15 years and 260 days of age. A severe injury crisis forced Stefano Pioli to deploy the young striker in the last 7 minutes of the match against Fiorenta won 1-0. Camarda played again a few days later in the 3-1 win against Fiorentina and has since returned to the Primavera squad under Ignazio Abate.

Francesco Camarda turs 16-year-old today and is free to sign his first professional contract. However, there is no guarantee that his first signature will be with the Rossoneri. Journalist Pasquale Guarro reports some worrisome news regarding the future of Camarda whose renewal talks with Milan have hit a stalemate.

Interest from Italy, Man City and Dortmund

To date, Francesco Camarda is with one foot out of AC Milan, there are non-trivial problems regarding his renewal. Inter recently made an inquiry and have serious interest, just like Juventus and Roma, but should he not renew with the Rossoneri, Camarda’s future could and should be in the Premier League“, reports Pasquale Guarro.

Despite the interest of Italian clubs, AC Milan’s strongest competitors for the signature of Francesco Camarda are Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund. In fact, both City and Dortmund have been working on Camarda for the last two years. Especially Borussia Dortmund have made important promises to the Camarda family regarding playing time and a lucrative contract.

Talks between AC Milan and Camarda

AC Milan will have to work hard to convince the player to stay put. The management failed to reach an agreement with Camarda before his Serie A debut and now he has attracted even more eyes who are ready to spend big in order to get a possible future star on a free transfer. The family of the highly rated AC Milan youngster are not accepting a contract standard for a player of his age.

For two months the Italian wonderkid trained regularly with the first squad, he has made the bench on several occasions and he played two official matches. By their logic Camarda should get a better contract that Primavera captain Kevin Zeroli who for reference is set to sign a 5-year contract at close to 250 thousand euros.

While no official figures have been reported so far, it is believed that the player wants a contract of around half a million euros for the next three years (until he becomes 19-yeards-old Camarda can’t sign a longer contract than 3-years). In addition, a commission of at least one million euros is wanted by the agent and the player’s family. The Rossoneri continue to work on this front and hope that the desire of Francesco Camarda to make history at AC Milan is stronger than that of his family and agent who are pushing him out of the Rossoneri.
