Gazzetta: AC Milan put 11 players on the market
AC Milan are looking to sell eleven players this summer. Some will leave Milan for financial reasons while others for tactical motives.
DEFENCE – On goal the situation is clear, Donnarumma leaves only if PSG make an ‘indecent’ offer of more than 60 million. If he leaves, his brother Antonio will follow him. The primary issue to solve in defence is the overcrowded position on the left with Theo Hernandez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Diego Laxalt and Ivan Strinic fighting for a single role. AC Milan can not afford to have four fullbacks so the Rossoneri are trying to sell two.
Despite his injury there is no doubt that Theo Hernandez with be the first choice on the left. The Rossoneri invested 20 million for his signing and the Spanish left-back fits perfectly into Giampaolo’s football ideas.
Currently Diego Laxalt is the player AC Milan are desperate to sell. Parma and Spal expressed interest in his services and Milan have put him on the market for 12-13 million. Te Uruguay international has reportedly rejected both options as he hopes to join former coach Gasperini at Atalanta.
AC Milan would also love to sell also Ricardo Rodriguez. If he remains it will be his third year at San Siro but the Swiss left-back is considering his options since the arrival of Theo. Schalke 04 have recently inquired about his availability receiving a positive reply from Milan that Rodriguez is free to leave for 20 million.
Another problem is the situation of Andrea Conti. The Italian right back has finally recovered after two devastating injuries on the knee and wants to regain his Atalanta form but it’s not going to be easy. Davide Calabria is the regular starter on the right and it’s going to be so even under Giampaolo. Milan would prefer to loan Conti to another Serie A club like Parma in order to gain more minutes but the player wants to stay.
