5 AC Milan targets for the midfield

AC Milan are looking for a midfielder. The goal of Leonardo and Maldini is to find a player who can collect the legacy of Lucas Biglia and Montolivo for the present and also the future.

The former Roma star is also an old target of the Rossoneri. The Red and Blacks tried to purchase him two years ago when he was loaned at Empoli but a cash strapped AC Milan at that time went for the cheap choice signing Mati Fernandez instead. 

The Argentine international transferred to Zenit Saint Petersburg last year for a fee of 27 million euros but would be more than willing to return to Italy for AC Milan. However his purchase would require a significant investment of around 30 million euros.

Considering the performances of the deep-lying playmaker with the velvet touch that may be a price worth paying.
