5 AC Milan targets for the midfield

AC Milan are looking for a midfielder. The goal of Leonardo and Maldini is to find a player who can collect the legacy of Lucas Biglia and Montolivo for the present and also the future.

The top target remains PSG star midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The 23 year old has an expiring contract with the French giants and on January he can sign a deal with any club he wants. Rabiot on a free transfer would be an excellent piece of business by technical director Leonardo considering that the central midfielder would be worth more than 50 million euros in a different contractual situation.

There are a couple of problems for AC Milan to overcome in order to secure the French youngster signature. The Rossoneri need to finish in the top 4 as Rabiot wants to play in champions League next season. The midfielder also demands a top player contract of around 5 million euros per season. Competition for his services is high too with Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City also interested.

However AC Milan can rely on Leonardo and his good relationship with both the player and his mother-agent. The Rossoneri can offer Rabiot something that the above-mentioned club can’t, a guaranteed spot in the starting eleven, Rabiot’s main demand.
