4 teams chasing the defender, Milan ready to sell
The exodus at AC Milan has just begun. So many new arrivals have created an abundance of players in San Siro. Mirabelli is trying to free some space.
While trying to sign a new centre forward, AC Milan continues the work of emptying the organic. So far, sports director, Massimiliano Mirabelli has done well even in exit but more action needs to be taken. The club is negotiations for the sale of several players who are not considered part of manager Vincenzo Montella’s plans.
Among them is Stefan Simic. The 22 year old, former Primavera defender, who also participated in the European Under 21 with the Czech Republic. Last year he played for Royal Mouscron in Belgium on loan while one year prior he was loaned at Varese. His contract with the rossoneri is due to expire in 2018, so the club wants to sell him now in order to make a small profit. According to foggia.iamcalcio.it, the centre back is wanted by Foggia, which is searching for new defender to strengthen the squad. Foggia will play in Serie B this season.
Milan demands around 1 millions euros for this transfer. A figure considered too high by the Pugliesi, who instead are asking the player on loan. But on Simic there is a lot of competition. In addition to Foggia, he is also wanted by Matera (who are ready to make an important offer to please manager Floridia). Also, Parma and Padua have requested information about the young defender who can play even as right back. The Czech has not convinced the rossoneri and has found no room in the first team. But in the lower series he can definitely be a useful player and show his true value.
Stefan Simic joined AC Milan in 2013 from Genoa. He has spent his youth career in his homeland with Slavia Prague and has played so far 10 matches for the national U21 team.
