4 Players AC Milan could sell in January
Ibrahimovic’s return seems closer but AC Milan need to sell several players in order to finance moves for other signings.
SportMediaset analyzes the January transfer business of AC Milan. The big dream of the Rossoneri is the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to San Siro while Barcelona’s starlet Jean-Clair Todibo is the number one target in the defence. However, the most important job of Maldini and Boban will be to sell certain players that are not part of the club’s plans.
BORINI: Fabio Borini is the first player to have confirmed his departure. His agent announced that the Italian will leave when the January transfer window opens. Crystal Palace has set its sights on Borini but, whatever his next destination is, AC Milan will likely gain nothing from Borini’s sale as his contract expires in six months.
RODRIGUEZ: The Swiss left back is likely at the end of his days at San Siro. Theo Hernandez has cemented his starting role and when offered the opportunity, like with Atalanta, Rodriguez failed to make an impact. He has already rejected a move to Fenerbahce as he prefers to join Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli. Schalke 04 are also interested.
CALABRIA: With the arrival of Stefano Pioli on the bench of AC Milan Davide Calabria has lost his place on the starting eleven. Andrea Conti, despite not being consistent, is the new owner of the right flak. Considering the situation and the need to gather funds in order to finance several signings, AC Milan are seriously considering selling Calabria. Sevilla and Fiorentina are interested in his services and AC Milan will reportedly consider only offers that exceed the €20 million figure.
KESSIE: The sale of the Ivorian midfielder could solve the difficult financial situation of the club and offer Maldini and Boban considerable funds to spend on the market. He has returned on the starting eleven but in case of a 30 million euros offer Milan will not think twice.
