Pioli makes 3 formation changes for Milan vs Lazio

AC Milan vs Lazio

Rossoneri coach Stefano is oriented to make three changes to AC Milan’s starting eleven against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.

AC Milan host Lazio at San Siro on Saturday, at 18:00 CET. The Rossoneri have joined Inter at the top of Serie A standings after their victory over Cagliari. AC Milan vs Lazio will be the last Serie A match with Champions League returning next week. The Rossoneri need to continue their good run in order to put pressure on inter but Lazio has traditionally proven a difficult opponent.

Coach Stefano Pioli has one big dilemma concerning the heart of the defence. Fikayo Tomori is sure to start from the first minute in Milan vs Lazio but his partner hasn’t been decided yet. Simon Kjaer seems the favorite with Malick Thiaw set to be rested for the Champions. Davide Calabria has recovered but it will be Florenzi to play on the right side of the defence with Theo Hernandez completing the back four. Mike Maignan too makes his return in Milan vs Lazio.

Yacine Adli did really well in his first start against Cagliari and will be confirmed with Lazio as well. It looks like the French midfielder will be Pioli’s go-to player in the absence of Rade Krunic. The Italian coach will confirm the same midfield that started against Cagliari with Loftus-Cheek and Reijnders playing alongside Adli.

Samuel Chukwueze did well too in the last match but not enough to earn his confirmation. Christian Pulisic will return on the right wing having played on the left in the last match. Rafael Leao starts on the left with Olivier Giroud returning to guide the attack. The French striker is AC Milan’s top scorer so far.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-3-3): Maignan, Florenzi, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Loftus-Cheek, Adli, Reijnders, Pulisic, Leao, Giroud.

LAZIO Probable XI (4-3-3): Provedel, Marusic, Casale, Romagnoli, Pellegrini, Vecino, Rovella, Luis Alberto, Felipe Anderson, Zaccagni, Immobile.
