Pioli chooses starting XI for AC Milan vs Inter
The Italian Supper Cup final will be held tomorrow in Saudi Arabia with AC Milan facing Inter at 20:00 CET.
The Derby della Madonnina will be held for the first time in Saudi Arabia. AC Milan and Inter will meet tomorrow at 20:00 CET at the King Fahd stadium. A new chapter of the historic rivalry. The Rossoneri won Serie A while the Nerazzurri won the last edition of the Coppa Italia.
Stefano Pioli’s side have been in a disappointing run recently forcing the Italian coach to make changes for Milan vs Inter. Pioli will risk Simon Kjaer from the first minute. Despite the Dane not being at his best physical shape, AC Milan desperately need his leadership and areal awareness. Kjaer will partner with Tomori while Calabria and Theo Hernandez will complete the back four.
Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer will return to form their usual partnership. Neither Vranckx or Pobega have been enough convincing to earn a starting spot for AC Milan vs Inter in the Super Cup final.
Olivier Giroud will lead the attack against Inter, his favorite victim. The French striker has failed to find the back of the net in the New Year and will be looking to change his luck against the city-rivals. Giroud will be supported by Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers.
AC MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu, Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Tonali, Bennacer , Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao, Giroud.
INTER Probable XI (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.
