AC Milan return on the pitch after the two consecutive draws against Bologna and Torino. The Rossoneri need desperately need to bounce back in order to avoid losing further ground to Inter. Milan vs Genoa could be the perfect occasion for Stefano Pioli’s side to relaunch their Scudetto ambitions.
The Italian coach will make two important changes for Milan vs Genoa but the defence will be the same. Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori will form the cental duo with Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria completing the back four. As usual, Mike Maignan between the posts.
Ismael Bennacer returns in midfield. The Algerian star has fully recovered and will start from the first minute alongside Sandro Tonali. Bennacer’s return allows Pioli to advance Franck Kessie in the attacking midfielder role replacing Brahim Diaz.
Kessie will form the attacking trio in support of Olivier Giroud alongside Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leao. Despite the disappointing performance against Torino, Pioli has decided to trust the Belgian on the right wing. With Ibrahimovic out for around two weeks, it will be Giroud’s duty to lead the attack in the upcoming matches.
