Pioli will make several changes for AC Milan vs Red Star with Zlatan Ibrahimovic being left on the bench.
Tonight, at 21:00 CET, AC Milan will host Red Star Belgrade at the San Siro. It’s the second leg after the 2-2 draw in Serbia. The Rossoneri will have to avoid mistakes and qualify for the next stage of Europa League. For AC Milan vs Red Star Belgrade, coach Stefano Pioli will make several changes.
With Mandzukic still out due to a muscle injury, and Ibrahimovic not exactly at his best form, Pioli will deploy Rafael Leao in the centre forward role. After the recent disappointing performances of Saelemaekers on the right it will be Samu Castillejo to start from the first minute.
At the center, as often happens in the Europa League matches, it will still be up to Rade Krunic to replace Hakan. However, Calhanoglu will be on the pitch but on the left wing rather than the attacking midfielder role. The Turkey international still needs to find his best condition having recovered from Covid.
Soualiho Meite will partner will Franck Kessie in midfield. Ismael Bennacer is recovered after the derby in the first match in Serbia but fortunately it is nothing serious. Sandro Tonali will be able to rest after the difficulties in the derby.
As always, Gigio Donnarumma will be on goal. Tomori and Romagnoli will form the central duo. The Englishman defender will return from the first minute after not being used in the derby. Davide Calabria will play on the right with Theo Hernandez likely to be favored over Dalot.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo; Meite, Kessie; Castillejo, Krunic, Calhanoglu; Leao.
