AC Milan vs Lazio

AC Milan host Lazio at the San Siro on Sunday. Stefano Pioli will make three important formation changes against the Biancocelesti.

On Sunday evening at 18:00 CET, the Rossoneri will host Lazio at San Siro. AC Milan vs Lazio will be the first major match for Stefano Pioli’s side this season and furthermore a direct encounter between two teams that have won their respective games so far.

While Maurizio Sarri will have the entire squad at his disposal, a couple of Rossoneri players can miss Milan vs Lazio for different reasons. Stefano Pioli will deploy his usual 4-2-3-1 formation but slightly modified due to circumstance. The Italian coach will make three important changes to his formation for Milan vs Lazio.

Davide Calabria will start on the right with Theo Hernandez on the opposite flank. Captain Alessio Romagnoli and Fikayo Tomori will form the central duo in defence. Coach Stefano Pioli has decided to give Simon Kjaer a rest after his international commitments with Denmark. Mike Maignan will protect the goal against Serie A’s best attack so far.

Franck Kessie returns from his injury and should make his seasonal debut against the Biancocelesti. With Rade Krunic injured, it will be the Ivorian to play alongside Sandro Tonali in midfield. The recovery of Ismael Bennacer is going well but the Algerian is still not at his best form according to Stefano Pioli. Tonali is untouchable at the moment.

Alexis Saelemaekers was the last player to return from international duty so Pioli will be keeping him fresh for Liverpool. Florenzi is in advantage for the right winger role. With Giroud out, Pioli doesn’t want to risk Ibrahimovic from the first minute after being inactive for five months. It will be Ante Rebic to lead the attack with Rafael Leao on the left and Brahim Diaz in the attacking midfielder role.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Calabria, Romagnoli, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Tonali, Kessie, Florenzi, Brahim Diaz, Leao, Rebic.

LAZIO (4-3-3): Reina, Marusic, Luiz Felipe, Acerbi, Hysaj, Milinkovic-Savic, Leiva, Luis Alberto, Pedro, Felipe Andreson, Immobile.
