AC Milan set summer transfer budget

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti reports on AC Milan’s upcoming mercato moves and the summer transfer budget.

AC Milan’s transfer campaign is about to reach a crucial point. After the decision to bet on Mike Maignan, interrupting renewal negotiations for Gianluigi Donnarumma, the next official step of the Rossoneri will be the announcement of Fikayo Tomori’s signing on a permanent deal.

There is no doubt about the permanence of the English defender but Milan are trying to get a favorable deal from Chelsea and pay the 28.5 million fee on multiple installments. Then next should be Sandro Tonali, for whom Maldini is working with Brescia to get a discount or at least change payment terms.

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti analyzes the upcoming mercato moves of the Rossoneri. I understand that Milan will focus on Tonali, on his youth, and hope to see him more incisive next season. However, the club is working to find a solution with Brescia president Cellino and lower the 25 million fee. He will be a Milan player on a permanent basis and likely a couple of young players could be included in the negotiation as technical counterparts“.

€70 Million summer transfer budgetThe big purchase, for now, is that of Fikayo Tomori. But this is not the end. In addition, AC Milan plan to invest 70 million euros this summer. Plus there will be the sale of Jens Peter Hauge. The Rossoneri hope to raise 10-15 million euros from the Norwegian winger“.

However, Hauge will not be the only player to leave. “Caldara, Conti, Laxalt and Duarte are absolutely not part of the future and with their bags already packed. Should an offer of 60-70 million arrive for Theo Hernandez, it must be evaluated even though Milan do not intend to sell the big names”, concludes Pellegatti.
