AC Milan travel to Spal tonight in search of their third win in a row. Stefano Pioli will make a couple of changes for this match.
After two consecutive victories, Spal vs Milan offers the Rossoneri another great opportunity to shorten the distance with Roma and secure a place in Europa League. Pioli’s side has found enthusiasm and the three points are an obligation before upcoming difficult matches with Lazio, Juventus and Napoli.
The good news is that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered for Spal vs Milan. However, the Swedish striker is not expected to feature from the first minute but rather just a small portion in the second half. Nevertheless, the return of the Swedish giant two weeks before initial projects is quite positive for the Rossoneri.
Stefano Pioli will make one change in defence. The Italian wants to give more minutes to Davide Calabria and rest Andrea Conti. Calabria will start on the right with Theo Hernandez on the left. While at the center of the defence, once again Kjaer will partner with captain Romagnoli.
One important change in midfield. As in previous games, Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will partner in the middle. However, after the recent promising displays of Lucas Paqueta, Pioli seems oriented to give him another chance from the first minute alongside Castillejo and Calhanoglu again in support of Ante Rebic.
The Croatian striker has done great in the absence of Ibrahimovic. Alexis Saelemaekers too is expected to feature in the second half against Spal after the fine performances with Roma.
SPAL (4-4-1-1): Letica; Cionek, Vicari, Bonifazi, Reca; D’Alessandro, Missiroli, Dabo, Fares; Valoti; Petagna.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, T. Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Paqueta, Calhanoglu; Rebic.
