Fiorentina vs AC Milan

Pioli, Rebic and Cutrone face their former clubs tonight as AC Milan travel to Firenze to play Fiorentina.

Injuries continue to remain a headache for Stefano Pioli even for Fiorentina vs Milan but the Italian coach can count on the recovery of Hakan Calhanoglu who has played a very important role recently.

After an injury last week that did not allow him to play against Torino, the Turkish midfielder has returned to training regularly since on Monday and was included in the list of players called up just like Mateo Musacchio, who is still having a calf problem.

Fiorentina vs Milan will be very special for Stefano Pioli and Ante Rebic who return to their old club while former Rossoneri striker Patrick Cutrone faces his boyhood club for the first time as an opponent.

Regarding the formation, the new 4-2-3-1 lineup has become the standard. Andrea Conti fights for the right back position with Calabria but Conti is currently in advantage. Considering the absence of Kajer, and Musacchio’s problems, youngster Matteo Gabbia is set to make his first minute debut alongside captain Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez.

Lucas Paqueta who was tasked to help the attack against Torino makes room for Calhanoglu in the attacking midfielder role. Franck Kessie and Bennacer partner at the center of the midfielder with Samu Castillejo and Rebic in support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Fiorentina won the first leg match thrashing Milan 3-1 at San Siro.

FIORENTINA (3-5-2): Dragowski, Milenkovic, Pezzella, Caceres, Lirola, Duncan, Pulgar, Castrovilli, Dalbert, Vlahovic, Chiesa.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Gabbia, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
