AC Milan search for their third consecutive victory against Udinese but the Rossoneri have many injury problems.
On Sunday, at 12:30, AC Milan host Udinese at the San Siro. Milan vs Udinese is the first match of the second half of the season. The first match between the two squads ended 1-0 in favor of Udinese.
Coach Stefan Pioli is preparing the upcoming match with several of his players battling with injuries. Gigio Donnarumma, Davide Calabria, Calhanoglu and Mateo Musacchio are all dealing with physical injuries. Nevertheless, considering the positive performances against Cagliari and Spal, Milan need to grab a third consecutive victory to boost the morale of the squad.
In the cup Gigio was replaced by his Antonio but for Milan vs Udinese Pioli promised that he has recovered and will play. In any occasion Begovic is ready. One new signing who will start form the first minute is Simon Kjaer. The Denmark captain will form the central duo in defence with Conti and Theo Hernandez on the sides.
In Pioli’s revamped 4-4-2 formation Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are forming a great duo in the middle of the park. The in-form Samu Castillejo will be on the right. The former Villarreal is currently the holder of that role in club hierarchies in front of Suso. The position of the left midfielder was one of Pioli’s big doubts. However, Hakan Calhanoglu has not recovered and Bonaventura will take his place.
Kris Piatek made a great performance in the cup scoring and assisting one goal but he will be on the bench for Milan vs Udinese. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the Rossoneri’s starting centre forward with Rafael Leao by his side.
