AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek is part of the list with the 100 players with the highest transfer values according to CIES Football Observatory.
MILAN NEWS – Quality, opportunism and lethal in front the goal. These are the basic characteristics of the new Serie A star Krzysztof Piatek, a striker that AC Milan acquired for €35 million last January.
An important coup that has helped the Rossoneri to increase their goal tally in the second part of the season. The 23-year-old centre forward managed to scored 30 goals in his first season in Italy. No wonder that Piatek’s name appears on the list of the most expensive players of the moment.
The CIES Football Observatory has presented the 100 players from the five major European leagues with the highest transfer values. The Polish striker of AC Milan ranks 44th place with a market value of 79.2 million euros, more than double what Milan paid for him six months ago.
The only other AC Milan player on the list is Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian young goalkeeper occupies the hundredth position with a current market value of €61 million, nearly the same figure any club must pay to sign Gigio this summer.
Three forwards are in the top three positions: Kylian Mbappe (€252M), Mohammed Salah (€219M) and Raheem Sterling (€208M). Leo Messi (€167M) ranks fourth while Cristiano Ronaldo (€118M) tops the table for footballers aged 33 or more. The CIES Football Observatory algorithm takes into account a wide array of variables such as age, contract, position, minutes, goals, international status, team results, etc.
